Acheson & others at the High Court

9am-10am Thursday 10th July
Royal Courts of Justice
The Strand
London
(nearest tube: Holborn or Temple)

8 multi-national construction firms are in the High Court in the case of Acheson (& others) v Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd (& others) for their role in the blacklisting of trade unions and environmental activists. Balfour Beatty, Carillion, Costain, Kier, Laing O’Rourke, Sir Robert McAlpine, Skanska UK and VINCI PLC.

The directors of these firms have systematically organised a conspiracy against over 3200 workers in the building industry. Lawyers for the UK government have already admitted that the covert actions were in breach of human rights. Yet the same companies have unilaterally launched a so-called compensation scheme and think that a £4,000 bung will make the problem go away.

Blacklisted workers will be protesting outside the High Court in order to prove to these wretches that we have no intention of going away. We will fight until we expose the entire dirty secret - in the High Court, in a public inquiry, on  building sites, on the streets. Union members from UNITE, UCATT, GMB, RMT plus environmental activists will be part of the protest organised by the Blacklist Support Group

When the court case is finished, there will be a campaign update held in:
Seven Stars pub
53-54 Carey St
London WC2A 2JB (immediately behind the High Court)

NO JUSTICE - NO PEACE
