The Royal Exchange Theatre’s Young Company bring their brand new piece - TALKING VAGUELY ABOUT REVOLUTION – to
The Studio at the Royal Exchange
Theatre on Wednesday 2 April
2014.
In a world where voting feels meaningless and people feel powerless, this brand new, thought-provoking piece takes a sideways look at the most important issues facing young people today. It is an irreverent mixture of moments, scenes and stories looking at the significance of protest, and what anarchy and apathy actually mean to us in 2014.
This is the first collaboration
across the entire Royal Exchange Theatre Young Company - written, designed,
performed and marketed by the voices of the future.
The Young Company is the Royal
Exchange Theatre’s resident theatre company for young people aged 14-21. The
members work across four different groups: Young Writers, Young Performers,
Young Design Technicians and Young Communicators.
‘As a member of the Young
Communicators this has been a great opportunity to work with professionals on
our own marketing campaign. This involved creating the flyer, press release,
marketing and social media campaign. I can’t wait to see how it all comes
together!’ Naomi Yeboah, Young Communicator.
The core work of the Royal Exchange Theatre’s Young Company is supported by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, and this show is also presented in association with the Co-operative Foundation’s Truth About Youth programme which is challenging and changing negative perceptions of young people in the UK.
