How Cyril Smith MP Got Away with It!

CHANNEL 4's Dispatches program will be showing their program on the former MP for Rochdale: how the late Cyril Smith got away with it for so long on Thursday 12th September at 23.00pm.  In the Dispaches' program there will be an interview with John Walker, who is now an author on this Northern Voices' Blog and has written extensively in our printed publication N.V.14 about Cyril Smith.  Formerly in May 1979, Mr. Walker was an editor of the Rochdale Alternative Paper, the journal that first published the story on Cyril Smith, and was then threatened by Mr. Smith's solicitor.
