Coventry Bin Workers
Congratulations to Unite and the Coventry bin workers who have just won a 12.9% pay rise after a 6 month strike.
The Labour controlled council in Coventry tried to break the strike by using agency scab labour from Tom White Waste, which is fully owned by the council. The lowest paid striking drivers were paid £11.49 an hour, while agency worker's were getting £18 an hour.
