LAST Sunday, Simon Danczuk on his Twitter account posted the following tweet about Rochdale's Labour councillors: 

'After just giving themselves a 34% pay rise #Rochdale Labour Councillors now think we should have an MP that lives in Manchester!'

On the same day Karen Danczuk, who is one of the people proposing Simon as an independent candidate for the Rochdale constituency, did a retweet:

Can't recall either Simon or Karen complaining about the pay rise that both the Labour and Tory councillors awarded themselves when they voted it through months ago!
