Tameside Labour MPs vote to cut the winter fuel allowance for Britain's pensioners!

in the one party state of Tameside, all three Tameside MPs, Angela Rayner, Jonny Reynolds and Andrew Gwynne, voted to rob Britain's pensioners of their winter fuel allowance and to make them poorer.

It has been reported in the press that Angela Rayner is now after scrapping the 25% council tax discount for single people who live alone. Expect to see more means-testing of welfare benefits including the state retirement pension, free bus passes and prescriptions. The means-testing of the winter fuel allowance for Britain's pensioners, is just a foot in the front door.

Labour's Chancellor, Rachel 'Freeze' Reeves, has said that Labour will be tougher than the Tories when it comes to cutting welfare spending and that Labour is not the party for people on state benefits, but the party of people in work. We've had New Labour and now it's low-life Labour under Rayner and Sir Keir Starmer-oid. These scallywags could crawl under a snake's belly wearing a tall hat.

I understand that the Concessionary Bus Passes are now safe , although the single person discount on Council Tax is still under threat .

I`ve just read that The House Of Lords have expressed " dismay " and rejected the Winter Fuel Allowance cut . It won`t make one iota of difference , but at least it keeps the story in the media .

It`s strange that we`ve both mentioned the Tax Avoidance problem with the so called tech giants , and yesterday there is Rachel Reeves visiting an Amazon plant somewhere and promising them £8 million for something or other . So not only are they not pursuing the Tax problem ; they are actually handing more money to them . The last line of my response to Angela Rayner was that the decision to cut the Winter Fuel Allowance was egregious ( bet she had to look that one up ) , and disgraceful and that whilst they won the vote in Parliament , the true result would be revealed at the next General Election . The same applies to Rachel Reeves and her activities ; particularly that she claimed over £4000 on energy . It will come back and bite them .

The delegates at the Labour Conference have voted against the WFA cut , which is a good slap in the face for Reeves and Starmer even after they pushed it back two days to try and dilute it . One of the Speakers asked the very question that I put to Angela Rayner regarding the tax position of those who are experts at avoiding it . I imagine that the answer will disappear into that famous Black Hole that they so love talking about .
