Boris Johnson now in intensive care.

BORIS Johnson has now been in the intensive care unit after his condition worsened on today.

In a statement issued this evening, it was confirmed that 'the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened, and on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.'  Johnson is 55 years old.

The statement also clarified that the Prime Minister had asked First Secretary of State Dominic Rabb 'to deputise for him where necessary.'

Johnson was admitted to St. Thomas' Hospital in London over the weekend, a week after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

Johnson's diagnosis followed the British government's failed rollout of a 'herd immunity' strategy, and a press conference in which Johnson said he 'shook hands with everybody' while on a hospital ward where some coronavirus patients were being treated.

The United Kingdom has thus far had over 51,000 people diagnosed with the virus.
